The Inner Harbor

Our dear friends, the Cowans, took us out to dinner tonight at Baltimore's Inner Harbor. The Chesapeake Bay is trying to shake off winter so the Harbor wasn't up to its usually warm-weather vivacity, but the marinas were full of boats and the view was stunning as always. We had a magnificent dinner and then walked over to the Eatery and bought dessert from an Italian pastry shop. The portions selected were irrationally large and we all intended on bringing home enough to last 3-4 more desserts. Unfortunately it all tasted so good that we ate all 4,324,253,123 calories worth of pastry. Well, all except Mrs. Cowan who managed to stop. It may have taken a few years off our life span, but it seems like it was probably worth it.

I don't remember the last time we have been to the Inner Harbor, but it is always a treat. The effects of the economy were visible with some of the Eatry shops closed down. But the line a Phillip's Crab House showed that there were still plenty of customers to go around if you have the right product.

Thank you friends for a wonderful evening...
